Michael Bennett
Michael is 17 and lives in Paulsgrove, Portsmouth. He got involved with The Raymarine Lively Lady Project through a friend who was already part of the project. One of the main things he feels he’s learnt so far is that you should always work as a team and never be afraid to go out and try something new. He said, "The fundraising and events have also been great and have allowed me to share some of my experiences on board Lively Lady with others".
He feels his involvement with the project has had a very positive effect on his organisational skills as well. He is currently studying motor mechanics at Fareham Collage and really enjoys the practical side of the course. He also spends one day a week in Industry at the Express Gearbox Company at Hilsea, Portsmouth where he gets the opportunity to work on road vehicles - not just the ones at college that have been taken apart and put back together so many times they're not allowed anywhere near the road!.
